Age 85, of Elliott, on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Beloved husband of 58 years of Adelle (Askin) Varvaro; father of Donna (the late David) Waxter, Joseph (Janet), Diane Serventi, Philip (Denise), Debbie (Robert) Kaniuff and Dana Varvaro; grandfather of Laura, Ashley (Ben), Ryan, Rob, David, Jordan, Michael, Joe, Malena and Makenna; great-grandfather of Cillian; brother of Antoinette (the late Alfred) Tarasi and the late Sandra (Anthony) Alioto, Vincent (still surviving Filomena) and Ignatius (Louise) Varvaro; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends received 2-8 p.m. Sunday only at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 12 noon in the Ascension Worship Site of St. Philip Parish. Burial to follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors.
