Sr. Lois Ann Wuenstel, CDP

85 years of age, of McCandless Township, Sister Lois Ann, went to her eternal reward on Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, baptized at St. Martin's in the West End and given the name Julia. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1952 and made Final Vows on August 9, 1959. For several years, Sister Lois Ann served as a teacher, mostly in schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. She received her Bachelor's degree in secondary education from Duquesne University, and her Master's in business education from the University of Detroit. From 1981-89, Sister Lois Ann served in the Office of Worship, Diocese of Pittsburgh. Beginning in 1989 until her last illness, she was the Manager at Sto-Rox Plaza in McKees Rocks. The second youngest in a family of nine children, she was preceded in death by her parents, Louis O. Wuenstel and Mary Ann Wolf Wuenstel, and siblings Louis, Charles, William and Robert Wuenstel, Catherine Thomas, Mildred and Anna Marie Wuenstel, and Marian Wuenstel Smith. Sister Lois Ann is survived by her sister, Thelma Pappaterri, sister-in-law, Olive Wuenstel, nieces and nephews, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Viewing will take place at Providence Heights on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, November 2, from noon until 3:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. in the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA 15101. Burial will follow in the Sisters' Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Sisters of Divine Providence, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA 15101. Arrangements entrusted to ANTHONY G.
