Armando John Pigoni

Armando’s courage and faith, two qualities that have served him well, in his nearly 85 years, passed away peacefully on Monday September 21, 2020. Beloved wife of Lorraine M. (Conley) Pigoni. Loving father of Denise (Ralph) Conway, Lynn (Rob) Narkevic, Steven (Janet), and Mark Pigoni. Grandfather of Sean, Kelsey, Jesse, Riana, Leah, Marie and Michael. Brother of the late Rose Iezzi, Lucille Pfeifer, Victoria Koepfer, Carl Pigoni, and Dominica Pigoni. Son of the late Armando and Mary (Zammarchi) Pigoni. John will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. As per John’s wishes, visitation was held privately for the family. However, the family would like to invite everyone to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for John on Friday, September 25th at 10 a.m. at the Ascension Worship Site of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry St., Pgh, PA 15205. Burial to follow in St. Martin Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Ave., Pgh, PA, 15220. John’s family wishes to thank Mercy Hospital’s Med Surg ICU, Palliative and Pastoral Care Teams. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Mary of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, 202 Stanwix St, Pgh, PA 15222, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
