Age 98, of Port Richey, FL, formerly of the West End, went to the Lord, Thursday, April 19, 2012. She passed at home, where she resided with her niece and caregiver, Marcia Franklin. She was born Jan. 6, 1914 in the West End, the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria Hodnicki. She was preceded in death by sisters, Helen and Stella, and brothers, Walter and Harry. She is survived by a sister, Irene Anthony of Port Richey, FL; a brother, Charles Hodnicki of the West End; and many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Duffs Business School and was employed by the Internal Revenue Service, Joseph Horne Department Store, and Pittsburgh City Planning. She was a member of the Women's Polish Alliance and a parishioner of Guardian Angels Parish. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She loved her family very much and was always there to help. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Clara's life from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday only at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Guardian Angels Parish. The family suggests memorials be made to Guardian Angels Parish, 1030 Logue St., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
