James McDonald Obituary

Age 67, of Crafton Heights, originally from Elliott, on Sunday, December 23, 2018. He was the husband of Barbara (Felczak) McDonald, married for 43 years; brother of Mary (Peter) Smolinsky, Patricia (Marty) Doyle and Charles (Norma Jean) McDonald; brother-in-law of John (Susan) Felczak; son of Charles and Elizabeth (McGuire) McDonald, who preceded him in death. He leaves nieces and nephews, Dr. Judith Baumgartner, Martin Doyle, Amy Chatter, Andrew McDonald and Laura Felczak; also great-nieces and great-nephews; preceded in death by nephew Rev. Mark Baumgartner. Jim attended Langley High School and was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He loved hunting and being in the woods at the family camp with his family and friends. He always enjoyed reminiscing about the "good old days" with his brother, especially little league. Jim was involved in showing dogs. He was very proud of the champion Cocker Spaniels he bred, but more importantly the happiness that came to the families who got their puppies. As per Jim's wishes there are no visitations. Services and interment are private. Memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to Humane Animal Rescue, Attn: Donations Department, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208. Arrangements entrusted to ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC.
