Age 82, of Elliott, on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Macino, Sr. and Richard E. Palermo. Daughter of the late Paul Karaica and Marian (Badstibner) Bigger. Loving mother of Richard D. Palermo, George (Barb) Macino, Mary (the late John) Eberlein, Linda (Steve) Bladel, Elaine (Mike) Poliziani, Dom (Karen) Macino, and the late Lawrence J. Macino, Jr. Grandmother of Dawn Marie (Jay) Timko, Kelly (Joel) Ziolkowski, Marcus (Becky) Macino, Chris (Heather) Eberlein, Dominick (Lindsay) Poliziani, Gio Poliziani, Michael Poliziani, Adam (Samantha) Macino, Mia (James Post-fiancé) Poliziani, and the late Eric Macino. Great-grandmother of 16. Sister of Sandy Karaica, Paul (Sharon) Karaica, and Gary Karaica. Sister-in-law of Delores Palermo and the late Lawrence Palermo. Kathy will be sadly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, as well as her honorary siblings, Dave and Elaine Shuckers, Joe Torok, Matt and Jean Wimer, and Frank and Maryann Torok.
As per Kathy's wishes, there will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 6th at 10 a.m. in Ascension Church of St. Philip Parish, 114 Berry St., Pittsburgh, PA 15205. Burial will be held privately for the family. Arrangements are entrusted to ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15220.
