It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Norman announces his death on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020. Beloved husband of Maureen (Daniel) Norman with over 40 years of marriage and 65 years of friendship. He leaves behind two sons, David and Joey Norman, and his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Norma (Stoeckle) and Howard Norman and son-in-law of the late Mary Lou and John Daniel. Ralph was loved by many including his brother, Richard Norman, sister, the late Mary Ellen Schwarz, and brothers and sisters-in-law: Denise Daniel, John (Leslie)(the late Janet) Daniel, Marty (Leah) Daniel, Kathy Ford, Silvia Calderon Daniel, Bessy (Bob) Miller, Allison (Dan) Carney, Theresa (David) Suehr and the late Stephen Daniel, Larry (Cathy) Daniel and Karl Suehr. Adored by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Ralph was a retired Pittsburgh police officer, motorcycle division, and Vietnam Veteran. He was a leader in the Navy Seabees-Island X-3 and a golf enthusiast who loved history and tinkering with his many entrepreneurial projects. Friends received 2-8 p.m. Friday only at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC., 900 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Ascension Worship Site of St. Philip Parish. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial to follow in St. Martin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), 1000 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1606, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral home is following CDC, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Health Department guidelines. Therefore, facial masks are required while in the building.
