(Starosielec) Olszewski: loving father of Raymond C. Olszewski, Jr., William J. Olszewski and Lucille M. Olszewski. Son of the late Kasmir and Klementine Olszewski. Brother of the late: Roland Olszewski, Robert Olszewski, Richard Olszewski (twin), Marie Staskowicz, Helen Manko, Clara Warman, Amelia Rydesky, Jenny Sevick, Wanda Eisman, Charlotte Mularski Miceli Ishman. Beloved best friend and dancing partner Hilda Fry of Glenshaw.
Raymond, former District Manager for Home Life Insurance Company, was a proud resident of Elliott. He was a World War II Veteran, life member and Past Commander of VFW Post 418 in McKees Rocks, member of Moose Lodge #46 on Saxonburg Blvd, member of Circle of Friends in Baden and member of St. Martins/Guardian Angels Parish.
Ray was a happy soul who loved life to the fullest and enjoyed to travelling and dancing. He was creative and had jokes and sayings that always made you laugh and smile. Many people still have the “free ticket” that he would give away to those who chatted with him. Today’s “agenda” and “what’s on the schedule” was important to him because he was always ready to do something or go somewhere. His final salute would be “I’ll see you the next time I look at you!”
Due to the current health crisis there are no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, because, after 97 years there is a lot of life to celebrate!
