Richard John "Dick" Rourke

Age 87, of Elliott, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Stadler) Rourke. Loving father of Marie (George Perry) Cox, Debbie (Scott) Beglinger, and Lisa Mlavetz. Grandfather of Jamie Hartz, Julie Velmire, Lauren Reynolds, Alexandra Moore, and Emma Cox. Great-grandfather of Kingston, Parker, Addison, Quinn, and Alvin. Son of the late William and Rosalia (Matz) Rourke. Brother of Harry Rourke and the late Dolores Rourke, Rosalia “Rosie” Rourke, and William Rourke. Richard will be sadly missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Richard was a devout Catholic. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, hanging out at the cabin “Rosehaven”, and family vacations at the beach. Richard was proud of his time spent in the military, serving as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Friends received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME INC., 900 Chartiers Ave., Pgh, PA 15220. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish—St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 310 Mansfield Ave., Pgh, PA 15220. Burial to follow in St. Martin Cemetery.
