Sr. Ann Grace Lennex, CDP

At the age of 79, Sr. Ann Grace Lennex, went to her eternal reward on November 17, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 2, 1941; was baptized in St. Agnes, Pittsburgh, PA and was given the name Judith Frances. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1961 and made Final Vows on Feb. 8, 1970. After initially giving service in the culinary department with a specialty in diet preparation at Providence Heights, Sr. Ann Grace carried out her profession in Divine Providence Hospital in Pittsburgh, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, St. Joseph Military School in Pittsburgh and returning to Providence Heights until retirement. To develop her skills, Sr. Ann Grace took a variety of enrichment courses at Allegheny General Hospital Training Program, Community College of Allegheny County, West Penn Hospital and La Roche University. She was also a volunteer for the Providence Heights Alpha School’s extended daycare service besides the Multiple Sclerosis Group of North Hills and a volunteer for Hospice and Hospice Bereavement. Sr. Ann Grace was preceded in death by her father, George Robert Lennex, Mother, Ida Frances Bellisario Lennex, and sister, Angel Lennex Kitta (Stanley). Sr. Ann Grace is survived by George R. Lennex (Joyce), Mary Lennex Daley (John) and Vernon R. Lennex (Patricia); plus aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, services and interment are private. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date.
