Sr. Catherine Frost, CDP

Sister Catherine, formerly Sr. Ann Joachim, went to her eternal reward on Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born on April 2, 1937 and baptized at St. Mary's Church in Freeport, PA. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1953 and professed Final Vows on August 14, 1960. For many years, Sister Cathy served as a Catholic School Teacher in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia and New York. She received her MS degree from Duquesne University. Sister ministered for the longest periods of time at St. Anthony's School for Exceptional Children, Oakmont, PA and at Providence Heights Alpha School in Allison Park. From 1986 - 1991, she served in the Harlem area of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M. and Catherine McAnallen Frost, and is survived by her brother Joseph, cousins, friends, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Viewing will take place at Providence Heights on Friday, October 7, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 -8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, October 8, Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA 15101.  A livestream will be available at: https://video.ibm.com/channel/Q4zW6rUvwPq. Burial will follow in the Sisters' Cemetery. All who are vaccinated are welcome to participate.
