At the age of 89, Sr. Louise Angelini (formerly Sr. Mary Thomas) went to her eternal reward on June 24, 2021. She was born in Sharpsburg, PA on August 7, 1931; was baptized in Madonna of Jerusalem in Sharpsburg, PA and was given the name Louisa Donata. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence, on December 28, 1947, and made Final Vows, on August 15, 1954. Sr. Louise was an educator for a little over forty years as a teacher or principal throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. She was the Co-Director of Providence Heights for five years and then carried out a supportive role in the ministry of St. Anne Day Care in Castle Shannon, PA. Upon retiring to Providence Heights, and possessing a very compassionate heart, Sr. Louise was always searching for ways to make the elderly more comfortable. She received her BE and ME in Education from Duquesne University. Sr. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Attilio and Catherine (Camino) Angelini and her siblings Dominic (Rose), Sr. Frances Romana, CDP, Antonette, Lucy (Carmen) Cavezza, Teresa (Frank) Casper, Nicholas (Lucia), Anthony (baby), and Mary Frances Angelini. Sr. Louise is survived by her sister Hilda (the late Donald) Ferraro and brother Anthony (Marian), many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of great nieces and nephews, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Friends and family are invited to the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, at Providence Heights, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101, for visitation on Sunday, June 27th, from 6-8 p.m., with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, June 28th, from 1-3:30 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated, on Monday at 4 p.m., in the Sisters’ Chapel. A livestream of Sr. Louise’s service will be available: https://video.ibm.com/channel/Q4zW6rUvwPq. Burial to follow in the Sisters’ Cemetery, Providence Heights Cemetery.
