Sr. Marilyn "Andrea" Seidel, CDP

Sister Marilyn Seidel went to her eternal reward on Friday, March 7, 2025.  She was born on February 8, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA and baptized at St. Basil Parish in the Carrick neighborhood. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1956 and professed Final Vows in 1964. Sister served as a Catholic School Teacher, a Religious Education Director, in Parish Ministry, and as the Director of Ministry and Education for her Religious Congregation. Sister received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Duquesne University and her Master of Arts in Religious Education from La Salle University. Sister Marilyn was the youngest of five children of Andrew and Amelia (Kreinak) Seidel and was preceded in death by her parents and siblings and their spouses: Jacob (Dorothy), Dorothy Dahm (J. Richard), William (Patricia), Charles (Mary Ann). She is survived by nieces, nephews, many friends, and the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Viewing will take place, Tuesday, March 11th  from 6-8 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, at 3 p.m. All services will be held in Visitation Chapel at Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Boulevard, Allison Park, PA, 15101. Please enter through The Commons. All who are vaccinated are welcome to participate.  Burial will follow in the Providence Heights Cemetery.
