Sr. Mary Grace Carlisano, CDP

At the age of 88, Sister Mary Grace went to her eternal reward on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was born on March 1, 1936 to Nicola and Grace (Monardo) Carlisano and was the tenth of eleven children. Mary Grace entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1958 and professed Final Vows on August 15, 1965. For more than forty years, Sister Mary Grace served as aCatholic School Teacher in the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Archdiocese of Detroit. She received her BA degree from La Roche College (now University) and her MA from Duquesne University. Sister Mary Grace was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Jean Pistoria, Tony, Rose Panza, Frank, Teresa DeCaprio, Delo Horst, Nick, Joe, and Betty Armstrong.  She is survived by her sisters Grace Trangle, Sister Carolyn Carlisano, nieces, nephews, the Sisters of Divine Providence, and their Associates. Viewing will take place at The Commons at Providence Heights on Monday, June 17th from 2–4 & 6–8 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18th at 11 a.m. in the Visitation Chapel of Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101.
