Sr. Rochelle Holly, CDP

Sister Rochelle “Lorraine”, passed to eternal life on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the age of 83.  She was born in Butler, PA to William A. and Gladys (Phipps) Holly. She entered the Sisters of Divine Providence in 1956 from St. Mary Parish in Herman, PA and made Final Vows on August 9, 1964. For over fifty years, Sister Rochelle served as an Elementary Teacher, Principal, and Associate Superintendent in Catholic School Systems in the Dioceses of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, and the Archdiocese of Detroit. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University, her Master’s from the University of Detroit and an Education Specialist degree from Wayne State University. Sr. Rochelle  enjoyed reading crocheting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William J. Holly, and is survived by her cousins, the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31st from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with a Wake Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1st at 11 a.m. All services will take place in the Visitation Chapel at Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA, 15101. Entrance is at the “Commons”. Those fully vaccinated are welcome to participate.
